Title: Color Perspective: People

Date: April - May 2021

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Conceptually, Color Perspective: People is similar to Picture in Picture, where it also focuses on the notion of perspectives and how the audiences would engage with the photos. This series explores the belief that human identity will always elude the single, static image. So as I follow and circle around my main subjects, I shot many photos of one person from different angles and vantage points, creating conglomerations of images for one person. Then I combine these images onto one lenticular printing card, where if the audiences flip each card vertically, they will see two different but related photos. Each still image conveys a sense of frozenness, and at the same time, there are narratives and connections among those photos when the viewers are able to move from one to another.
